Comparing 8 Crypto Airdrop Platforms: Analyzing Entry Barriers and Reward Potential
By my count, MEXC just dropped a comparison of eight crypto airdrop platforms, and one of them gates entry at a 5 MX token floor — low enough that retail can actually clear it.

Stack that against Coin Gabbar's September roll-call of five active campaigns and Bybit's fresh 1,000 USDT position airdrop for crypto and stock traders, and you've got a reasonable snapshot of where free-token flow is moving this month. I don't get paid for hype, so here's what I actually look at when comparison pieces land.
The 5 MX gate and what a comparison is really selling you
MEXC published its round-up of eight airdrop platforms, with one programme opening at 5 MX. Any comparison from an exchange deserves a grain of salt — the venue running the platform tends to land on the list — but a 5 MX floor isn't really excluding anyone. The headline doesn't tell you the reward curve once you're inside, which is the part that actually matters. Cheap gates usually come with thin payouts or a meaningful tier buried under trading volume. Separately, 99Bitcoins reports Bybit is running a 1,000 USDT "position airdrop" for crypto and stock traders. Position airdrops typically credit margin or positions rather than transferable tokens, so the real value depends on withdrawal terms, instrument restrictions, and any volume minimums. I treat both as starting lists until the fine print is on the page.
Five campaigns live in September, zero guarantees
Per Coin Gabbar, five projects are actively collecting points right now: Axis Robotics, N1 Chain, AllScale, RISEx, and BitRobot. Axis Robotics pays Axis-Points for browser-based robot-arm simulations — no hardware, just task accuracy scored by difficulty and quality. N1 Chain is the rebrand of Layer N and 01 Exchange, a trading-focused Layer-1 where points come from perpetual contract volume across deposits from Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, or Base. AllScale is a self-custody stablecoin platform for small businesses using passkeys instead of seed phrases, with daily check-ins and invoicing activity as the earn mechanism. RISEx runs perpetuals on RISE Chain, an Ethereum L2, and currently applies a 20% points boost on real-world asset trades. BitRobot routes contributors through "subnets" for embodied AI work, with a TeleArms waitlist and an Ambassador Program application layered on top.
Points are not allocations. None of these campaigns have published a TGE date or a points-to-token ratio I can verify. I'm listing them because they're running, not because they pay.
What I check before I connect a wallet
I've been rinsed by enough of these to know the drill. Go directly to the project's own site or app, never through a Telegram or X link. Verify the exact domain before signing anything. Track eligibility through the project's official dashboard, not a third-party tracker. Wait for a TGE announcement on the project's verified accounts rather than trusting a date circulating on Crypto Twitter. Claim only through the verified, official claim page once a distribution opens. And the obvious ones: no legitimate airdrop asks for your seed phrase or private key, and nobody real makes you send crypto to "unlock" a reward.
Free tokens are fine. Free tokens with a 20% RWA boost and a zero-page tokenomics doc are not.
